The Coral Reef Generator was my first Houdini project, it was made to challenge and submerse myself in Houdini. The main idea was to create a game ready procedural asset that would get me a good understanding on how to work procedural and how the overall pipeline works. I thought that a Coral Reef would be interesting because of how varied they are and how they are composed.  It was also important for me that everything was made inside of Houdini so that I could easily export it to Unreal.

I wanted the user to have access to a few components that would make it easy to control the reefs size and design and then generate and bake the high-poly texture to the game ready low-poly. To make this experience more interactive I wanted to offer a preview mode so the users experience would be more user friendly.
